Student activity durations and grants are estimated before the activity begins. Exact durations and grants must be redetermined after the activity concludes.
Before starting the activity, the planned duration is estimated based on available information and documents, such as the academic calendar of the host institution, the periods indicated in students’ acceptance letters, and experiences from previous years’ activities at the institution. The exact activity duration is calculated according to the start and end dates on the participation certificate. *.
Students' activity periods can be partially or fully funded, or the activity can be carried out entirely without a grant or as a "zero-grant" student. If the activity period is partially funded, the grant period cannot be less than the minimum duration.
The grant to be given to the student is calculated using the “Beneficiary Module (BM)”.
The activity duration calculated in the Beneficiary Module (BM) by entering the start and end dates, and subtracting any interruption periods if applicable, must meet the minimum duration requirement. For example, a study mobility activity calculated as lasting 1 month and 25 days will not be accepted if there is no force majeure requiring the student to return early, as it does not meet the minimum activity duration requirement.
If selected students who have already started their activities wish to extend them, and the relevant activity budget of the higher education institution is sufficient, a grant may be provided for the extended period. If the budget is not enough to cover all students requesting an extension, the students who will receive the grant are determined based on their initial selection results, in accordance with the principles of impartiality and transparency. For students whose maximum grant amounts are increased, additional grant agreements indicating the increased maximum grant must be prepared.
Grants awarded to students consist of contributions from the European Commission and the Republic of Türkiye. The institution may also provide additional grants to the students it sends from its own resources. Amounts provided from the institution’s own resources are not included in the grant amounts calculated for each student in the Final Report submitted to the Center via the Beneficiary Module (BM). However, general information about grants provided from the institution’s own resources (such as the monthly/daily amount per student or the total amount given to students from the institution’s resources) is reported in the Special Report.
